1. Submitting details for your own page
   
   NB - Regardless of whether you were based at Thorpe Grammar initially, your secondary education must have begun in September 1963 in order to qualify for inclusion in this site - or you must have been a member of staff at the school between 1963 and 1970.
   
   You are free to put whatever you like on your page (within the realms of decency) but you may find it helpful to take a look at existing pages, to get some ideas.

   If you have access to a computer and scanner please e-mail me with the blurb and, if possible, include "then" and "now" photos. Other pictures, of your family etc. are also very welcome.

   No computer or no scanner? No problem. Just send the items by regular mail. An S.A.E. for the return of the photos would be appreciated. The address can be accessed via the Pupils page but you will need the password. See below if you have difficulties.

   It would be helpful if you would include a note of your birthday - as a reminder to friends that may want to send you a greeting!

2. Getting the password
   
   The password is only available to ex-pupils and staff (or their friends and family) - although it is not, necessarily, restricted to those at Thorpe Grammar between 1963 and 1970.
   
   If you cannot remember the name of the French teacher in question, please complete the form below and details will be sent to you as soon as possible - after authenticity has been established.

   Difficulties with the password

   You need to have Java enabled on your browser for "GateKeeper" to work (it's required for other areas of the site too). If you are using an up-to-date version of Internet Explorer or Netscape and have not purposely disabled Java you should have no problems. To get the latest version of IE click on the icon (but refer to 4. below first). It's free but takes a while to download. Another source is as a freebie with a computer magazine.

   
   If you have the password and Java is enabled yet you still experience difficulty connecting, try simply re-entering the password a couple of times. If that doesn't work, please refer to the Help page within the GateKeeper password box and e-mail me from there, if necessary.

   N.B. To avoid typing in the password each time, you can save it. Again, look in the GateKeeper box, under "help" for directions. You'll need to have cookies enabled but that's the default setting on modern browsers, anyway.

   Before contacting me, however, please note the following:
   
   The adverts sometimes cause a page to hang whilst loading. Try refreshing it. 
   There may be times when the whole site is unobtainable. This will be down to "Tripod", the hosting service.
   If the Message Board or Chat Room is unavailable  "Bravenet" may be down.
   These problems should be short-lived.
